Land supplies

As new land availability begins improving again in Sydney conspicuous change has occurred in the shapes, sizes and types of homesites now on offer.

Jandson Homes have already recognised that these changes heavily influence new home designs for them and the high standards of refinements necessary for the homes to be built on them to ensure on-going widespread popularity.

Whilst it’s been important to have appropriate designs available to build on these new homesites, the real challenge has been to ensure Jandson’s new designs remain affordable and environmentally responsive. They still have to be uncomplicated and easy to live in.

Design types

These newest requirements form part of an on-going refinement process which has seen the Company formalise home plans for almost all conceivable types of land on the new estates.

Jandson Homes proudly offer home designs for narrow, courtyard or conventional homesites, as well as shorter, sloping, battle-axe and corner homesites.

Design features

A number of our designs have dual purposes, meaning they can be adapted for more than one type of homesite with minimum effort or cost. Some two-storey designs can even reverse the living areas from front to rear, to take advantage of views or to optimise solar orientation.

Emerging lifestyle changes are also influencing design requirements for new homes. These can include a bedroom with ensuite and walk-in-robe on the ground floor of two-storey designs, built-in alfresco living areas and increased focus on uniting the indoors with the outdoors. Purpose-built home theatres are also very popular, as are home gymnasiums and work-out rooms.

Features and inclusions

The designs themselves reflect all that is new and popular in new homes, including water and energy saving design features such as solar heating options, cross-flow ventilation, mixed accommodation options, and smartwiring and fibre-optic cabling (where available).

The Company’s published inclusion standards are industry leading in content and quality as can be seen here.
