An open letter to current and future Jandson Homes customers
We understand that many current and future customers would like to know about Jandson Homes future stability in these times of financial uncertainty.
Obviously the news of Wincrest Homes going into voluntary administration does not help to build confidence in the home building industry.
The building industry in NSW has suffered a substantial downturn over the past three years. This downturn preceded the current global economic crisis.
However, Jandson’s directors took prudent steps to reduce overheads and exposure to excessive borrowings back in 2006 in anticipation of tough trading conditions over the next few years.
As a result we are confident of trading through this economic crisis.
Our confidence is based on the following facts.
- Jandson has a contract with Defence Housing Australia worth in excess of $6 million. Work is about to commence on this project at Dundas ensuring a steady cash flow for Jandson. (See Tallowwood Estate for details.)
- Following the Federal Government’s First Home Buyers Grant tripling to $21,000 we have experienced a substantial increase in sales, particularly at Ropes Crossing where we had some slow moving stock.
- Our new display homes at The Ponds are proving to be highly popular making the strategic move to open display homes at this popular estate, a very successful one.
- Our reputation as a quality knock down rebuild builder continues to grow giving opportunities to tap into this market segment which represents large slice of the new home market.
- We now have a product range to meet the expectations of home buyers in different market segments. This means we are not particularly reliant on any market segment, giving our company even more strength.
- Financially we can confirm we have never defaulted or late paid any bank loans or interest payments in our 22 years of business and our creditors and suppliers’ payments are all up to date.
We invite you to make your own credit reference checks on Jandson Homes should you feel the need to do so.
What else can we say, other than we are in fact in a better position in 2009 than we were in 2008?
